Security in brief
  • Insure Fleet is an information website. There are no forms, logins or payments here, so there is nothing to enter and no card details to protect.
  • We will never ask your business for payment, bank details, passwords or documents by email, phone, text or social media.
  • Our quote buttons take you to MyMoneyComparison.com. Check the address bar shows mymoneycomparison.com before you enter any details.
  • Be wary of anyone offering cheap fleet cover by cold call, social media or message. Check the seller and the policy before paying.
  • If you spot a security problem or a message pretending to be us, email info@insure-fleet.co.uk.

How we keep the website secure

Every page of insure-fleet.co.uk is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, shown by the padlock in your browser. Because the website does not ask for any personal, business or payment information, there is no customer data stored here that could be exposed.

  • Website software, themes and plugins are kept up to date with security updates.
  • Access to manage the website is limited to the people who need it.
  • The website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Our privacy policy explains how we treat personal information, including the only time we receive any: when you choose to email us.

What we will never ask you for

Insure Fleet does not sell insurance, take payments or handle policies. That means we will never contact you or your staff to ask for:

  • Payment for a policy, a deposit or an admin fee
  • Your business bank or card details
  • Passwords, one-time codes or login details
  • Copies of driving licences, ID, V5C logbooks, operator licence paperwork or a fleet list

If you receive an email, call, text or social media message claiming to be Insure Fleet and asking for any of these, do not reply or pay. Please forward it to info@insure-fleet.co.uk so we can warn others.

Checking you have reached MyMoneyComparison.com

When you choose a quote button, a short message tells you that you are being taken to the secure quote form. You then leave insure-fleet.co.uk and arrive on MyMoneyComparison.com, a comparison service that can match your business with specialist fleet brokers.

Before you enter any details, check the address bar. The address should start with https://www.mymoneycomparison.com or https://quote.mymoneycomparison.com. If it shows a different or misspelt address, close the page and contact us.

A padlock on its own only shows the connection is encrypted. It does not prove a website is genuine, so the address is the thing to check. Anything you enter on MyMoneyComparison.com is handled under its own privacy policy and security measures.

Protect your business from fake fleet insurance

Ghost brokers and cloned firms sell fake or invalid motor insurance. Businesses looking for cheaper fleet cover can be targeted through cold calls, emails, social media and websites that copy the name of a genuine broker. A fake policy can leave every vehicle on the fleet driving uninsured without anyone knowing.

Before your business pays anyone for cover, these checks are worth making:

  • Check the firm is authorised. Search the FCA Financial Services Register for the firm's name and reference number, and use the contact details shown there, not the ones in the email or advert.
  • Watch for clone firms. A firm using a real company's name with a different phone number, email address or website is a common sign of a clone.
  • Be wary of payment requests. Paying by bank transfer to a personal account, or being asked to pay in cash or vouchers, is a warning sign.
  • Check every vehicle is on the database. Once cover starts, use askMID to check each vehicle on the fleet appears on the Motor Insurance Database.
  • Check the documents. Contact the insurer named on the certificate directly to confirm the policy is real and shows the right drivers and class of use.

The Insurance Fraud Bureau has more guidance on ghost broking and how to report it. Our page on van fleet insurance explains how class of use works on a genuine fleet policy.
